Everywhere, obviously. Everything worth exploring is walking distance or a metro stop away. Visit the Acropolis museum and the Parthenon and walk at the paved street from the Herodeion open-air ancient theatre up to Monastiraki. Visit the Hill of Philopappou, see the 360° city view from Pnyka and stroll around iconic Plaka and Anafiotika. If you are into shopping, look for Ermou St. for fast fashion megabrands (it also leads to the Monastiraki Flea Market) or go to Voukourestiou St. in Kolonaki, for elegant haute couture fashion brands.

*Nice to know, wanderlust lovers!

In Syntagma square, visit the Greek Parliament, the National Royal Garden of Athens and Zappeion (leading to the Kallimarmaron stadium where the Authentic Athens Marathon ends). Grab the tram towards the southern suburbs of the Athens riviera (TIP: by taxi, the closest beach to Athens is 10 minutes away, in Palaio Faliro). From Monastiraki, grab the train to Kifissia and to the northern suburbs or to Piraeus (Europe’s getaway port to all the spectacular Greek islands of the Aegean Sea, like Mykonos, Santorini and Crete. TIP: the closest islands to Athens are Hydra and Aegina, an hour away). A few steps from the hotel, explore the “Kentriki Agora” where you can find anything from fresh produce to spices. TIPS: The blue metro line takes you to the Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in 40 minutes. The Lycabettus Hill cable car takes you up to the hilltop to enjoy the magnificent 360° view.
